THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

How to get started

As a fundraiser for The Salvation Army, you will be joining a community of passionate
people making a difference and providing hope for those who need it most.

Choose your activity

The key to a successful fundraiser is choosing an activity that you're passionate about. It could be anything from running a marathon to hosting a bake sale or organizing a talent show. When you're passionate about what you're doing, it's easier to stay motivated and inspire others to get involved.
So, choose an idea that you love and start making a difference for the Red Shield Appeal today!

Who's your tribe

Fundraising is much more fun when there are more people involved. Get your friends and family involved and reach out to your community for support. Make a list of all the people you know will be your biggest cheerleaders – people you know who believe in the cause and would love to support your amazing fundraiser to help people in need – and ask them to donate first to kick things off with a bang.

Prepare and plan

Once you've chosen your fundraising activity, it's important to plan ahead to ensure everything runs smoothly. Start by making a list of what you need, set a timeframe, and choose a location if necessary.
For example, if you're planning a bake sale, think about the ingredients you'll need, how many items you'll make, and where you'll hold the sale.

Share your page

Use social media to post updates about your fundraising progress, and don't be afraid to ask for donations. With a thoughtful approach to sharing your fundraising page, you can reach more people and raise more money.
Share personal stories or motivations, as this can help people connect with your cause on a personal level. Find more resources here.

Remember, fundraising can be fun and rewarding. With a little creativity, you can shoot for the stars and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
